So you want to know a little about us? Here is our story. Where it all started and why.
Father and Son was started many years ago. It was founded because I was a single father trying to find ways to make ends meet and to help fund gas for my volunteer fire service as the county did not cover any of our fuel cost in POV. This all couldn't have been possible without the help of James Lewis owner of Hair Country in downtown Raymond. My Late Father Ben White of Ergon Inc. And our first customer Gary Chambley of Learned MS. And my son Josh White , Who at the time was 8 years old. Mr James Lewis cut a deal and supplied our first 2 riding mowers and a small tow - behind trailer. They were old but they got me up and going. He also procured our first customer. My Late Father Ben White funded the purchase of our first push mower and a small portion of our debt to Mr. Lewis for the riding mowers and trailer. Mr Chambley was our first customer. He had about 3 acres that we cut. Our first time cutting his property all I had was a 22 inch non self propelled push mower. I would start at 8 in the morning after dropping my son off at school and would keep working until it was time to pick him up from school, then he worked helping me finish the job. After about the 3rd time of cutting with a Push mower that's where Mr. Lewis stepped in and helped procure the 2 riding mowers and trailer. That was a true God send and Blessing. Today in 2020 we have grown to having 1 client in Raymond, to having clients from Raymond all the way to Brandon Ms. We are still however small. And we still aren't very flashy. But we still do better work than some, and we still do charity all year round.
Our belief system and moral founding.
Our founding beliefs is modeled after the Patron Saint John Chrysostom the Archbishop of Constantinople 347 A.D. to 407 A.D. It is our firmest belief that our moral and good will to others is of the upmost importance. We believe in giving back part of what we are blessed with. Hence we are greatly involved in charitable causes. Because without God none of this would have been possible. Which is another reason I am now a minister and theologian as well as a lawn guy.
EXCERPT OF TEACHING OF ST JOHN CHRYSOSTOM ARCHBISHOP OF CONSTANTINOPLE translated from Byzentine latin greek
Do you wish to honour the body of Christ? Do not ignore him when he is naked. Do not pay him homage in the temple clad in silk, only then to neglect him outside where he is cold and ill-clad. He who said: "This is my body" is the same who said: "You saw me hungry and you gave me no food", and "Whatever you did to the least of my brothers you did also to me"... What good is it if the Eucharistic table is overloaded with golden chalices when your brother is dying of hunger? Start by satisfying his hunger and then with what is left you may adorn the altar as well.[23]

I want to make mention of my parents and grandmother who are all gone now from this world.
I miss you all so much.
How far I have come is because of all of you.
THE BELOW LITURGY IS DEDICATED TO YOU.
ALL THAT NEED IT ALSO.
I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH.
Message for today. When the world feels like it's falling. Take a look up one night. Just go somewhere dark sit down and look up on a clear night. When is the last time you really did that? I mean really did it? Do that and then question if there is a grand creator. Katrillions of little lights up there. Seems storybook freaky to me. Look around you. Not at the houses, streets, cars or city. But look at that sky just do it look at it. Open your minds. Love you all. Love one another. I am not trying to change your opinions. Just trying to pause you to realize we are all so very petty in a universe so amazing we cannot comprehend it. dpw 10302020
